UNC Charlotte Housing

On-Campus Housing:

UNC Charlotte offers traditional, suite, and apartment-style housing. Traditional halls have shared community bathrooms, suite-style rooms share a bathroom between connected bedrooms, and apartment-style units include a kitchen, living room, and private bedrooms.

Housing assignments may include academic, themed, or interest-based communities depending on eligibility and application status.

First-year students have access mostly to traditional and suite-style halls, while upperclassmen may choose suite or apartment-style housing.

Off-Campus Housing:

There are a wide variety of off-campus housing options for UNC Charlotte students, giving them the flexibility to choose what best fits their lifestyle, budget, and preferences. Students can pick from student-focused apartment complexes with amenities, nearby rental houses or condos within walking distance of campus, or traditional apartments throughout the University City area.
